Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using So You Know. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.
By accessing or using So You Know ("the Service") operated by So You know, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.
So You Know is a private voice messaging platform that allows users to record, store, and send personal voice messages to the people they love. Messages can be sent immediately, scheduled for future delivery (including birthdays and milestones), or stored as a private archive. So You Know also sends personalized SMS reminders on a schedule you choose to help you stay connected with the people in your circle.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use So You Know. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
Users ages 13–17: If you are between 13 and 17 years of age, you may only use So You Know with verified parental or guardian consent. During account creation, you will be required to provide a parent or guardian's email address. A verification link will be sent to that email address and your account will not be activated until a parent or guardian confirms their consent. By providing parental consent, the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on behalf of the minor and accepts responsibility for the minor's use of the Service.
Users under 13: So You Know does not knowingly permit children under 13 to create accounts. If we discover an account belonging to a child under 13 was created without verifiable parental consent, we will immediately terminate that account and delete all associated data.
When you create an account with So You Know, you are responsible for:
You retain full ownership of all voice recordings, video messages, and other content you create on So You Know ("Your Content"). By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and deliver Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You are solely responsible for Your Content. You agree not to record or send content that:
Your privacy is important to us. Our use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We will never sell your personal data or the content of your messages to third parties.
By creating an account and adding people to your circle, you consent to receive SMS text messages from So You Know, including:
You may pause or stop reminder messages at any time from your profile settings, or by replying STOP to any reminder SMS. Message and data rates may apply. SMS delivery is provided through Twilio.
For recipient delivery, we attempt SMS up to two (2) times. If both attempts fail, the message is held and you are notified; we will not retry without your explicit re-confirmation.
So You Know offers scheduled message delivery for birthdays, milestones, and other occasions. While we make every effort to deliver scheduled messages on time, we cannot guarantee exact delivery times due to factors outside our control, including carrier delays and network conditions. So You Know is not liable for delayed or failed scheduled message delivery.
You agree not to use So You Know to:
The So You Know name, logo, platform design, and all related materials are the intellectual property of So You Know and are protected by applicable trademark and copyright laws. You may not use our brand assets without prior written permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time using the "Delete my account" option in your profile settings, or by contacting us at team@soyouknow.ai. Upon termination, your content will be deleted in accordance with our data retention policy.
So You Know is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, So You Know shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
